We recognise that technology is developing rapidly, and it is essential that children can use a range of technological tools to help them find, explore, analyse, exchange and present information responsibly and creatively.

We believe that competent ICT (Information and Communications Technology) users are better equipped to use their initiative, and that ICT skills will open the door towards independent learning. We encourage children to make informed judgements about when and where to use ICT to its best effect.

South Hylton Primary Academy takes internet safety exceptionally seriously. All children participate in lessons on e-safety in the autumn term, so that they understand how to stay safe when using technology.
