Seeing our children wear their uniform is a delight, as it gives the school a strong identity, as well as ensures smart appearance.
Our children are the first to say they feel a strong sense of belonging and community when they get dressed for school.
When away from school, pupils are easily recognised in their uniforms and the public are able to see where the children are from; this is important to us as we are proud of their behaviour and know they wear their uniform with pride.
Year Six Ambassadors
At South Hylton Primary Academy we believe that moving into their final year of primary school is an exciting and special time for children, parents and staff.
We have acknowledged this important stage of the children’s educational journey, by introducing a few exciting adjustments to the Year 6 experience.
One of these adjustments is the year six children’s uniform. We would like year 6 to look different and feel different.
Part of looking different is the introduction of a blue V-neck jumper, a smart white school shirt with collar, and a bespoke school tie.
School uniform is cost-effective; it’s very reasonably priced and hard-wearing, making it an economical way to dress your child. It eliminates the demand to keep up with the ‘latest trends and fashion statements'.
